Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao on Wednesday directed officials to coordinate for upcoming Bathukamma events, including the Guinness record attempt at Saroor Nagar Stadium on September 29 and the Bathukamma Kunta inauguration on September 26.

Ramakrishna Rao said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the restored Bathukamma Kunta at Amberpet on September 26. He asked GHMC and water supply officials to arrange sanitation, drinking water, and security.
The Chief Secretary also told the GHMC Commissioner to send invitations to public representatives and VIPs without delay. Large crowds are expected from 4 p.m., so officials must manage the gathering effectively.
Guinness record Bathukamma at Saroor Nagar
More than 10,000 women will participate in the Bathukamma festival at Saroor Nagar Stadium on September 29, Rao said. He ordered stage construction, electrification, sanitation, and other facilities at the venue.
Series of Bathukamma events in Hyderabad
Tourism Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan announced that Tank Bund will host a Bathukamma carnival on September 27. He added that People’s Plaza will hold another gathering on September 29, followed by programmes on Tank Bund on September 30. Departments must coordinate to ensure success, he stressed.
