Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao chaired a high-level meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday to finalise plans for Independence Day celebrations. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will begin the day by paying tributes at the Martyrs’ Memorial. He will then attend the official function at the historic Golconda Fort.
The Chief Secretary instructed all departments to work in close coordination. He told the Police Department to prepare a traffic route map and assign separate entry and exit points for guests and the public. Security teams will be deployed at all locations, and officers must enforce traffic control.
The Roads and Buildings Department will light up key landmarks, including the Assembly, High Court, Secretariat, Raj Bhavan, and Telangana Thalli statues. These illuminations will reflect the day’s patriotic spirit.
The Department of Culture will stage performances at Golconda Fort to highlight Telangana’s heritage and patriotism. Fire Services will position fire safety teams and equipment to handle emergencies. The Power Department must ensure uninterrupted electricity during all events.
Ramakrishna Rao urged all departments to handle their duties with precision. He emphasized the need for teamwork and attention to detail to uphold the dignity of the national celebration.
Top officials, including DGP Jitender, Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Principal Secretary Navin Mittal, and Hyderabad Collector Harichandana, attended the meeting.
