Hyderabad: Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) launched Cyber Jagrukta Diwas 2025 to spread awareness among the public about rising cyber threats, according to Director General Shikha Goel.
In a statement on Wednesday, Goel said that special drives were held across the state to educate citizens about business and investment scams, identity theft, fake loan apps, and deceptive online advertisements. A total of 577 awareness programmes were conducted under the campaign.
Citizens urged not to trust calls claiming to be from police
The DG clarified that no police officer or law enforcement agency conducts investigations through phone, video, or Skype calls. She urged the public to remain vigilant and not fall for impersonation scams.
Victims of cybercrime were advised to immediately contact the national helpline 1930 to report incidents and seek prompt assistance.
