HYDERABAD, February 5: A delegation led by Telangana Minister Jupally Krishna Rao arrived in Karnataka on Wednesday to discuss the release of 6 TMC (thousand million cubic feet) of water from the Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers. The team is scheduled to meet Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at 7 PM to deliberate on this matter.
Accompanying Minister Jupally are AICC Secretary Dr. Sampath Kumar and MLAs Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy, Madhusudhan Reddy, and Vakiti Srihari. The delegation aims to secure 1 TMC of irrigation water for the Tungabhadra River and 5 TMC for the Krishna River. This release is intended to benefit farmers in the Alampur RDS ayacut region.
