Hyderabad: Top police brass gathered in Kamareddy on Wednesday as Telangana’s Director General of Police took stock of law and order in the district, amid ongoing efforts to bolster public safety across the state.
The closed-door meeting, chaired by the DGP, drew senior officers including Multi Zone–1 IG S. Chandrashekar Reddy, District SP M. Rajesh Chandra, and Additional SP P. Chaitanya Reddy. Other key officials from various wings of the police department were also present.
Discussions centred around the latest security challenges in the region, with a focus on inter-departmental coordination, crime prevention, and public order management. Officers were urged to remain alert to potential flare-ups and maintain swift response mechanisms.
The DGP stressed the importance of anticipatory policing and said keeping a finger on the pulse of local developments was critical. “Maintaining peace isn’t just about reacting it’s about staying ahead,” he told the officers, according to sources present at the meeting.
The review is part of a broader push by state police to ensure that districts remain calm and well-prepared in the face of emerging law and order pressures.
