Hyderabad: The Telangana government has pushed the deadline for submitting fresh and renewal applications for Post-Matric Scholarships (PMS) to June 30, 2025. Students and colleges now have extra time to wrap up the process on the e-PASS portal for the 2024–25 academic year.
The Scheduled Caste Development (Education) Department made the call, stressing the importance of making sure no eligible student is left out. The original cutoff for e-PASS scholarship registration was May 31.
The e-PASS system, available at http://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in, is the state’s flagship digital platform for managing scholarship disbursements to students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Economically Backward Classes, Minority communities, and students with disabilities.
So far, 10,75,041 applications have been submitted against a target of 11,88,120, leaving over 1.13 lakh still pending. The government has urged colleges to expedite data uploads to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Officials have reminded all regulatory bodies and educational institutions to finish uploading student details before the new deadline. The registration window, which opened on 1 September 2024, has seen high traffic, but many applications remain incomplete.
All welfare departments have been tasked with publicising the extension to ensure widespread awareness. “This is the final window. Every effort must be made to ensure no student is left behind,” a senior official said.
