Hyderabad: A 34-year-old farmer from Masanpalli village in Mulugu mandal died by suicide on Friday after a prolonged struggle with paralysis, according to police.
Sub-inspector Vijay Kumar said the deceased, Sunkari Swamy, had been engaged in agriculture until he was afflicted with paralysis three years ago. Unable to cope with the condition, he reportedly consumed pesticide on Thursday afternoon. He died later that night while undergoing treatment.

Police completed the inquest and handed over the body to the family. A case has been registered and investigation is ongoing.
Swamy is survived by his wife Anita, daughter Akshaya, and son Revanth.
