Hyderabad: Food Safety Officers (FSOs) in Telangana checked hotels, bakeries, restaurants, school kitchens, and canteens. They found expired food, dirty kitchens, and poor hygiene. Unsafe stock was thrown out on the spot, and notices went to the owners.
Telangana FSOs find stale food and dirty kitchens in inspections
At Kaveri Kitchen, FSOs saw greasy floors and poor waste handling. Srinivasa Hotel in Narayanpet kept expired chilli sauce and an old batch of Sprite. At Kings Family Restaurant in Siricilla, officials seized stale chicken biryani.
In Medak, Tirumala Ice Cream Parlour broke food labelling and display rules. At Keerthi Bakery, FSOs found dirty kitchens, no pest control, and licence lapses.
Officials said the checks will continue across the state. They warned that repeat offenders will face fines, court cases, or shutdowns.
