HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has announced two consecutive holidays in observance of the Ramzan festival. According to the official calendar, March 31 has been designated as a holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramzan), followed by another holiday on April 1. Additionally, March 28 has been declared an optional holiday for Jamat-ul-Vida and Shab-e-Qadr, during which minority educational institutions will remain closed, while others will function as usual. This practice of granting holidays on the day following festivals like Bonalu, Christmas, and Ramzan has been a tradition since the previous administration, and the current government continues this approach. In contrast, the Andhra Pradesh government has declared only March 31 as a holiday for Ramzan.
