Hyderabad: Telangana Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women and Child Welfare Minister Dhanasari Anasuya, popularly known as Seethakka, on Tuesday said the state government was prioritising road construction in rural areas and mandal headquarters.
She laid the foundation stone for road widening, installation of a central divider, and street lighting from National Highway 163 to Madanapalli Crossroad. The project will cost ₹4 crore. District Collector Divakar T.S. and District Library Chairman Banothu Ravichandra joined her at the event.
Focus on rural road connectivity
Seethakka stated that the government was actively repairing damaged roads and allocating funds for villages that still lack basic road connectivity. She emphasised that the government had already widened many roads linking district centres to nearby villages.
She added that the government remains committed to further expanding rural infrastructure.
Officials from various departments were present during the launch.
