Telangana government takes serious note of Secretariat plaster collapse incident

HYDERABAD, February 13: The Telangana government has taken serious note of an incident in which plaster fell from the fifth floor of the state Secretariat. Officials from the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department summoned the contractor responsible for the construction to inspect the affected area.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when a portion of the plaster detached and fell, causing damage to the vehicle of Ramagundam Market Committee Chairman. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as there were no people in the vicinity at the time.

Following the inspection, the contractor reviewed the site and is expected to submit a report on the cause of the collapse. The government has directed officials to ensure the structural integrity of the building to prevent similar incidents in the future.
