Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma extended greetings to the people on the eve of Vinayaka Chavithi, which will be celebrated across the state on Wednesday.
In his message, the Governor conveyed best wishes to devotees and highlighted the significance of Lord Ganesha in Indian tradition. He said worshippers invoke Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles and ensure success in every new beginning.
“It is customary to seek the blessings of Lord Sri Ganesha before starting any work for its successful completion,” the Governor said. He prayed that the deity, revered as the remover of obstacles, clear all hurdles on the path of unity, peace, progress, and prosperity for Telangana and the nation.

The Governor said the festival symbolised collective prayers for health, wealth, and happiness. “I pray and wish that Lord Ganesha clears all hurdles on our path to unity, peace, progress, and prosperity of our State and Nation. May these celebrations bring health, prosperity, joy, and happiness to all,” he added.
The state is preparing for Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations with pandals set up in urban and rural areas. Authorities have arranged traffic management, crowd control, and basic facilities during the festivities.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma’s greetings came after similar wishes from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The Chief Minister also assured government support to pandal organisers and announced free power supply to installations across Telangana.
