Hyderabad: Telangana Industries and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Friday said the state government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy remained fully committed to supporting persons with disabilities through dedicated welfare measures.
At a distribution program held at Mahadevpur mandal headquarters in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, the minister handed over tricycles and other assistive devices to several differently-abled beneficiaries.
He said Indiramma housing benefits and fresh pensions would be extended to persons with disabilities. Other schemes such as free power, subsidised rice, zero-interest loans for women, and free bus travel were also highlighted.
The minister remarked that while the administration continued to focus on reviving the state’s economy, efforts to implement electoral promises were underway.
Sridhar Babu criticised what he termed as deliberate misinformation being spread about the government’s work.
During the event, cheques worth Rs 90 lakh were distributed under the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes to 89 beneficiaries from Mahadevpur mandal.
Earlier, the minister inaugurated Dr B.R. Ambedkar Children’s Park, constructed with a cost of Rs 20 lakh.
Telangana State Trade Promotion Corporation Chairman Ayitha Prakash Reddy, KUDA Chairman Inagala Venkataram Reddy, District Collector Rahul Sharma, Sub-Collector Mayank Singh, Additional Collector for Local Bodies Vijayalakshmi, and other dignitaries were present.
