Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Friday heard petitions filed by BRS working president K T Rama Rao and former minister Jagadish Reddy seeking to quash FIRs registered against them by Medipally police.
The Medipally cases stem from a complaint filed by MLC Teenmar Mallanna, who alleged that during the Council elections, the BRS leaders circulated a fake video for political mileage.
Appearing for the petitioners, advocate Ramana Rao argued that the charges invoked by the police were not applicable and lacked supporting evidence.
The court deferred further hearing to June 27 after the counsel for Teenmar Mallanna sought time to present arguments.
