Telangana health officials told to stay alert during heavy rains
Raja Narasimha asked officials to keep ambulances ready to move people from low-lying areas to safer places. He also told them to stock enough medicines for treating snakebites and seasonal diseases. In addition, he said doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and hospital staff must stay available on duty. Since the forecast warns of more rain in the next two to three days, he urged stronger precautionary measures.
The minister said senior health officials should work with district authorities to provide quick medical help in flood-hit areas. Moreover, he asked teams to set up health camps and carry out sanitation drives to stop the spread of diseases.
Further, Raja Narasimha directed the health department to coordinate with municipal, panchayat, revenue, police, and disaster management officials. This cooperation, he said, will ensure smooth delivery of medical services in rain-affected regions.
