HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court has halted the allocation of land in Khanamet following a petition challenging the government’s land allotment order. The state government had issued an order to allocate land to the Kamma and Vishwabrahmin associations.
The petitioners approached the High Court, questioning the legitimacy of the government’s land allotment decision. After reviewing the petition, the court issued an interim order restricting any construction activities on the allocated land. The court stated that until further proceedings, no developments should take place on the disputed land.
The High Court has postponed the next hearing to next week, allowing time for further legal considerations. The case is expected to address concerns regarding the transparency and fairness of the land allocation process.
