HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has announced a series of IAS officer transfers and postings as part of an administrative reshuffle aimed at enhancing governance efficiency. Several officers have been reassigned to new roles, while some have been given Full Additional Charge (FAC) of key positions.
As per the government order (G.O.Rt.No.248), senior IAS officer K. Surendra Mohan (2006 batch), who currently serves as the Commissioner of Transport, has been assigned the additional responsibility of Commissioner for Cooperation & Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Director, Marketing. This move relieves P. Uday Kumar (2016 batch) from his existing FAC responsibilities in these roles.
In the health sector, R.V. Karnan (2012 batch), Director of Health and Family Welfare, has been given additional charge as CEO of Arogyasri, replacing Siva Sankar Lotheti (2013 batch), who has been transferred and directed to report to the General Administration Department.
The Finance Department has also seen a key change, with K. Haritha (2013 batch), previously serving as Joint Secretary, now appointed as Director of Commercial Taxes. This relieves senior IAS officer Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi (1999 batch) from his additional charge of the role.
Meanwhile, Sk. Yasmeen Basha (2015 batch), who currently holds the position of Director, Horticulture & Sericulture, has been given the additional charge of Managing Director, Telangana Seeds Development Corporation, replacing P. Uday Kumar (2016 batch).
In another key reassignment, K. Chandra Sekhar Reddy (2019 batch), the Managing Director of HACA, has been given additional charge as Managing Director of Telangana Foods. This follows the transfer of B. Srinivas Reddy, who has now been repatriated to his parent department.
Additionally, Sanchit Gangwar (2021 batch), who was serving as Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Wanaparthy, has been transferred to Narayanpet in the same role.
These administrative changes, issued under the direction of Telangana Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, are expected to enhance efficiency and streamline governance across various departments.
