CM directs officials to crack down on illegal sand transportation

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to take strict action against illegal sand transportation in the state. He instructed district collectors and superintendents of police (SPs) to conduct thorough inspections of sand reaches to curb unauthorised activities.

Emphasising the need for vigilance, the Chief Minister ordered special raids to check overloading and unlawful transport of sand. He stated that stringent measures should be taken to prevent illegal operators from causing revenue losses to the government.

The authorities have been asked to ensure strict enforcement and take necessary steps to eliminate irregularities in sand mining and transportation. Further monitoring and regulatory actions are expected in the coming days.
