Hyderabad: The Telangana government will install Telangana Thalli statues in all 33 district headquarters. Each will stand within the premises of the respective district collectorate.
Tenders issued for Telangana Thalli statues using GFRP polymer
The Roads and Buildings Department has invited tenders for 12-foot statues. Bids must be submitted by August 22. The department estimated a cost of ₹13 lakh per statue. The total expenditure for the statewide project will be about ₹4 crore.
The department will use Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRP) polymer for the statues to ensure durability and weather resistance. Telangana Thalli represents the cultural identity of the state, and the government wants her image at every district collectorate.
Tender rules require winning bidders to handle both fabrication and installation. They must follow the approved 12-foot design specifications. Work will begin once tenders are finalised later this year.
