HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced the schedule for Intermediate admissions for the academic year 2025–26. The first-year admission process for both general and vocational courses will be held from 1 May to 31 May across all government, private, and aided junior colleges in the state.
Eligible students have been asked to submit their applications online. The Board has confirmed that classes will officially commence on 2 June. Seat allotment will be based on the applicant’s SSC grades and applicable reservation criteria.
College principals have been directed to provisionally admit students based on internet-issued marks memos. However, final confirmation of admission will require submission of the original SSC pass certificate and a transfer certificate from the last attended school.
Strict adherence to reservation rules has been mandated. TSBIE has also made it clear that no entrance exams should be conducted for admissions. Any deviation from the official admission process will attract strict disciplinary action.
Students applying to private aided, unaided, social welfare, tribal welfare, BC welfare, minority, KGBV, model, and government junior colleges must provide their Aadhaar number without fail. For unaided colleges, principals are instructed to restrict admissions to the sanctioned sections only, with a maximum of 88 students per section. Admissions into de-listed subject combinations are strictly prohibited.
Colleges are barred from enrolling students in additional sections without prior board approval. Institutions violating these norms risk penalties and may even face de-recognition.
