HYDERABAD: The Telangana Intermediate examinations began today across the state in 1,532 designated centres. A total of 9,96,971 students from the first and second years of Intermediate education are appearing for the exams.
To ensure smooth conduct, 29,992 invigilators, 1,532 department officers, and 1,532 chief superintendents have been deployed for supervision. Additionally, 72 flying squads and 124 sitting squads are overseeing the process.
A command control centre has been set up at the Board of Intermediate Education office in Nampally to monitor the examinations. CCTV cameras have been installed at all exam centres, with each centre equipped with five to six cameras for surveillance.
The examinations will continue until March 25. Previously, students were not allowed entry into the examination hall even if they were late by a minute. However, this time, a grace period of up to five minutes is being provided for latecomers.
As per previous regulations, students are strictly prohibited from carrying electronic gadgets, including smartwatches. In particular, wearing any type of wristwatch is not permitted.
To ensure security, question papers are being transported to exam centres under police escort. A new feature introduced this year is the inclusion of a QR code on hall tickets, providing the exact location of the exam centre.
