Hyderabad: The Telangana State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has issued a strong wind alert covering all districts of the state from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
According to the bulletin issued by the TG FCCR Duty Officer, surface wind speeds ranging between 30–40 kmph are “very likely” to occur at isolated locations across Telangana. The weather watch is in effect from 3:07 PM on July 9 until 8:32 AM on July 10.
Districts under watch include Hyderabad, Warangal, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Adilabad, Mahbubnagar, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and 28 others.
The SDMA has advised residents to follow safety protocols, avoid unsecured structures, and remain indoors during peak gust periods. Agricultural workers, outdoor labourers, and commuters are urged to exercise caution.
Authorities are monitoring developments and may escalate the alert based on evolving weather conditions.
