Hyderabad: Protests erupted in Hyderabad on Tuesday over the Telangana Group-1 controversy, as Telangana Jagruthi leaders attempted to lay siege to the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) office in Nampally. Police stopped the protesters, leading to tense scenes in the area.
Jagruthi leaders demand justice for aspirants
Holding placards, the protesters demanded justice for Group-1 aspirants and called for the release of a job calendar. They shouted slogans of “Public Service Commission down down” outside the office before staging a sit-in.
Police detained the Jagruthi leaders and shifted them to various stations. The leaders alleged that officials had “sold” Group-1 posts. They demanded fresh examinations to ensure justice for unemployed youth in the State.
