Officials said the Chief Minister will also decide on providing 42 per cent reservations for Backward Classes in the elections. The BC reservation bill, already cleared by the state assembly, remains pending with the President.
Sources indicated that Revanth may issue clarity today on releasing a government order for BC reservations. District authorities have already prepared lists based on government instructions. Once the Panchayat Raj department issues the order, officials in each district will formally announce the reservation lists.
The government expects to resolve the legal and administrative hurdles within the next few days.
