Hyderabad: A Telangana man from LB Nagar, Hyderabad, was shot dead in Dallas, United States, in what police suspect to be a robbery attempt.
The victim, Pole Chandrasekhar, had completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in Hyderabad and later moved to Dallas for higher studies. He was also working at a gas station in the city. On Friday, unidentified robbers reportedly shot him dead during the attack.
Harish Rao visits bereaved family
Former Minister and BRS MLA T. Harish Rao visited Chandrasekhar’s family in Hyderabad on Saturday. He described the incident as “tragic” and extended his condolences.
In a message, Harish Rao said: “It is painful that Chandra Shekhar Pole, a Dalit student who went to America for higher studies, died in a shooting carried out by miscreants. The grief of his parents, who dreamed of his success, is heartbreaking.”
He further demanded that the state government take urgent steps to coordinate with Indian authorities and ensure the early repatriation of Chandrasekhar’s mortal remains to Telangana.
