Hyderabad: A 45-year-old man from Donur village in Dharmapuri mandal of Jagtial district died by suicide after battling kidney-related health issues for three years, police said on Monday.
Identified as Jangam Mallesh, the man had undergone four surgeries but saw no recovery, according to sub-inspector Uday Kumar.
On June 17, Mallesh left his house carrying pesticide and consumed it outside the premises. Family members shifted him to hospital immediately, where he remained under treatment for six days before succumbing.
Police registered a case based on a complaint from his wife, Gangavva, and launched an investigation.
