Hyderabad: Telangana Media Academy and International Justice Mission (IJM) will hold a workshop on human trafficking and bonded labour in Hyderabad on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 10 a.m.
The organisers said the programme will train journalists to report on trafficking and bonded labour with accuracy and sensitivity. They added that the sessions will cover survivor rehabilitation, legal aid, and the duty of the media in protecting victims’ dignity.

Civil society members, lawyers, and experts will attend. They will share their experiences and guide participants on responsible coverage. The organisers noted that the event will help reporters and editors strengthen reporting on trafficking and bonded labour.
The academy has been running regular training to build media capacity on social issues. Moreover, IJM, which works nationwide against trafficking and bonded labour, will present its collaborations with justice institutions.
Officials urged media representatives to register before 1 p.m. on September 15, 2025. They asked applicants to send their name, organisation, designation, workplace, and mobile number through WhatsApp to the academy manager at 7093600977. The organisers will allow only the first 70 journalists who register.
