HYDERABAD: In a decisive move to enhance road safety, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has announced stringent actions against individuals who repeatedly violate traffic regulations. Addressing the media on Sunday, the minister emphasized that habitual offenders will face permanent cancellation of their driving licenses. He further warned that once a license is revoked, it will not be reinstated, and any new vehicles purchased by such individuals will not be registered. The government plans to implement this policy soon, with an official order to be issued in the near future. This initiative aims to address the persistent issue of traffic violations, as previous penalties have not deterred some drivers from reckless behavior. Officials believe that these strict measures are necessary to ensure compliance with traffic laws and to promote public safety on the roads.
