HYDERABAD: The Communist Party of India (CPI) officially declared Nellikanti Satyam as its candidate for the Telangana MLA quota MLC elections.
The nomination process for the Telangana MLA Quota MLC elections is set to conclude tomorrow, with political parties finalizing their candidates. Based on the strength in the Assembly, the Congress party has secured four seats and has allocated one of them to its ally, the Communist Party of India (CPI). The Congress leadership made this announcement on Sunday.
Following this, the CPI held an executive meeting and officially declared Nellikanti Satyam as its MLC candidate. With this, CPI has joined Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in announcing their candidates.
Congress has fielded Vijayashanti, Addanki Dayakar, and Kethavath Shankar Naik as its candidates, while BRS has nominated Dasoju Sravan Kumar. The nomination process will end tomorrow, and the elections are scheduled to take place on March 20. The vote counting will be conducted on the same evening, and the winners will be declared.
