Hyderabad: Telangana NGOs Central Union General Secretary S.M. Hussaini Mujeeb has conveyed his deep sense of condolences over the sad demise of renowned philanthropist and educationist Ghiasuddin Babu Khan, and called his death an irreparable loss to society.
Legacy of service
His late brother, Bashiruddin Babu Khan a freedom fighter and former minister left behind more than just a political legacy. He went on to establish a web of welfare and educational institutions, many of which are still quietly transforming lives.
These include the Hyderabad Zakat and Charitable Trust, the Foundation for Economic and Educational Development (FEED), and the Hyderabad Institute of Excellence. Together, they’ve opened doors for thousands of students from disadvantaged backgrounds offering scholarships, financial support, and, just as importantly, access to an education many would never have had otherwise.
Emphasis on education
He believed strongly in the education providing the source of upliftment. FEED, during his leadership, granted thousands of scholarships and established schools and institutions so that children from needy families could pursue higher education and compete globally. His vision was a convergence of social empowerment and education brilliance, creating a lasting impact in the lives of thousands of people.
Tributes roll in
S.M. Hussaini Mujeeb noted that Babu Khan was not just an individual but a movement for social change. He was a true philanthropist whose vision continues to inspire us,” he said.
Ghiasuddin Babu Khan’s demise creates a void in the social and education spheres of Hyderabad, but his tradition of service and compassion will continue to inspire coming generations.
