Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader Harish Rao said Telangana had recorded unprecedented growth during the decade of BRS rule, highlighting an 84.3% rise in per capita income between 2013 and 2024.
Addressing media on Monday, Rao cited confirmation from the Union Finance Minister in Parliament, who ranked Telangana third among major states in per capita income. He said the data was a clear indicator of improved living standards and purchasing power in the state.
Rao attributed the state’s economic growth to flagship initiatives launched under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao, including Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, major irrigation works, industrial and IT policies, and rural and urban development programmes.
He described the surge in per capita income as a direct outcome of the BRS government’s sustained focus on development and welfare, calling it “a testament to the visionary governance of KCR.”
