Hyderabad: The Telangana Police urged people to check the truth of any news, video, or post before sharing it on social media. The police said that false or unverified information could create confusion and tension in society.
In a post on its official @TelanganaCOPs handle on X, the police warned users to be careful before forwarding messages. The post read, “Check before you share,” and stressed the danger of fake information spreading online.

Police officers asked citizens to confirm if a news item is true before posting or forwarding it. They also warned users not to join false campaigns or spread rumours. The department urged people to act responsibly on WhatsApp groups and other social media sites.
The police again said that people must verify news before sharing it. They added that those who spread fake information could face legal trouble. Finally, they asked users not to post content just to grab attention or create panic online.
