Hyderabad: The Federation of Telangana Higher Educational Institutions on Wednesday said it has postponed the planned strike by private colleges across the State. The decision followed an assurance from the government to release part of the pending fee reimbursement dues.
Earlier, the federation had announced that all private degree, engineering, pharmacy, and B.Ed colleges in Telangana would go on strike from October 13. Their key demand was the release of ₹1,000 crore in long-pending reimbursement funds.

In a recent update, the government promised to release ₹300 crore before the Diwali festival. Following this assurance, the federation decided to defer the strike for now.
The colleges had raised concerns over financial pressure caused by delays in reimbursement. The federation said it would watch the situation closely and take further action if needed.
