Telangana Raj Bhavan glows pink for breast cancer awareness

Hyderabad: Telangana Raj Bhavan glowed pink on Monday evening to mark International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event continued a six-year tradition started in 2020 to highlight early detection and prevention.

Raj Bhavan’s pink tribute to women’s health

The Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation organised the illumination. The initiative promoted awareness and encouraged women to undergo timely screening. It also reflected courage, hope, and unity in the fight against breast cancer.

Governor Jishnu Dev Varma praised Dr P. Raghu Ram, Founder and Chairman of the Foundation, for 18 years of dedicated service. He said Dr. Raghu Ram’s consistent efforts had strengthened breast cancer education and advocacy in Telangana.

Governor’s call for collective awareness

The Governor urged everyone to spread awareness to every woman and every community. He stressed that early detection saves lives and reduces breast cancer deaths. He added that empowering women with access to information and screening could transform public health.

The pink glow of the Raj Bhavan reaffirmed Telangana’s commitment to women’s health, empowerment, and compassionate service.
