HYDERABAD: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has announced that the state government will implement the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme with an allocation of Rs 6,000 crore to support five lakh unemployed SC, ST, BC, and minority youth through self-employment programs.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday at Veera Vanitha Chakali Ailamma Women’s University, the Deputy CM criticized the previous BRS government for neglecting youth development. He stated that under CM Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the new administration is committed to providing self-employment schemes to uplift unemployed youth.
Rs 3 Lakh Assistance Per Beneficiary
The Deputy CM pointed out that SC, ST, BC, and Minority Corporations were completely ignored by the previous government, depriving many unemployed youth of self-employment opportunities. To address this issue, the state government has decided to provide Rs 3 lakh per beneficiary under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme.
A notification will be issued on March 15, and eligible candidates can apply online until April 5. The selection process will take place from April 6 to May 31, and on June 2, the Telangana Formation Day, beneficiaries will receive approval letters for their self-employment funding. Officials are currently preparing guidelines for the selection process.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized that the state government sees it as a social responsibility to support youth from marginalized communities by providing sustainable self-employment opportunities.

The government has sanctioned Rs 15.5 crore for heritage building restoration and an immediate release of Rs 100 crore for the construction of new buildings.
