Hyderabad: The Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGMREIS) held an emergency video conference on Friday to review the impact of heavy rainfall and ensure the safety of students and staff in its residential schools and colleges.
High-level review meeting
Minorities Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar chaired the meeting. TGMREIS Vice Chairman and President Mohammed Faheemuddin Qureshi and Secretary B. Shafiullah, IFS, also joined. Qureshi told principals to ensure institutions function smoothly despite adverse weather. He urged them to coordinate with local authorities and respond immediately to medical, logistical, or emergency needs.
Secretary Shafiullah said emergency protocols were in place and a 24/7 control room had started operations to address urgent issues. He shared the helpline number 7331170790 for immediate assistance.
