Hyderabad: The Telangana government has decided to retain the existing fee structure for all professional courses, including engineering, for the 2025–26 academic year.
The state’s education department issued an official order on Monday confirming that the fee structure finalised for the 2022–25 block period will remain in force. The decision covers a wide range of courses such as B.Tech, B.E, M.Tech, M.E, B.Arch, M.Arch, B.Pharmacy, M.Pharmacy, Pharm D, Pharm D (PB), MBA, MCA, MBA Integrated, and B.Vocational programmes.
The directive, signed by Education Secretary Yogita Rana, brings relief to students and parents ahead of the upcoming admission cycle. With the current 2022–25 fee structure set to end this academic year, the Telangana Admissions and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) had already sent in its proposed revisions for the 2025–28 term.
However, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed TAFRC to revisit its recommendations, citing the need for a comprehensive review. He instructed that any revision must be based on a detailed assessment of institutional facilities and compliance with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) norms.
The continuation of the earlier fee slab means no changes for students seeking admission in the new academic year, which has drawn a positive response from families and applicants.
