Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Tuesday launched the Telangana Rising Vision 2047 initiative an ambitious effort to guide the state’s development over the next 20 years, in line with India’s centenary of independence in 2047.
The roadmap outlines key goals across major sectors, including economic growth, employment, skilling, women’s empowerment, farmer prosperity, innovation, sustainability, and improved quality of life.
To ensure public involvement, the government also introduced the Telangana Rising Vision 2047 Citizen Survey, open from October 10 to 25. Residents from both urban and rural areas are encouraged to share their ideas and aspirations for shaping Telangana’s future.
Telangana Rising Vision 2047 puts citizens at the heart of planning
Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan emphasized the participatory nature of the initiative. “This is not just a policy document it is a shared vision. The people of Telangana are the true architects of our future,” he said.
He invited youth, farmers, women, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and older citizens to take part in the survey. Their feedback, he explained, will help set priorities and ensure that development plans meet real community needs.
By collecting diverse inputs, the government aims to ground its policies in grassroots perspectives. This approach also aligns with the national goal of building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.
