Hyderabad: Employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) have decided to launch an indefinite strike from midnight of 6 May, demanding the resolution of their long-pending issues.
Sources said that RTC employees had earlier served a strike notice on 27 January to the management, the Labour Commissioner, and the State government, giving them time to address their grievances. However, in the absence of any positive response from either the government or the management, the employees have decided to halt bus services and proceed with the strike starting from 6 May midnight.
Meanwhile, the employees’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) has called upon other employee organisations and workers’ unions to extend their support to the strike on 7 May.
