Telangana Sanctions ₹36.40 Lakh

Hyderabad: The Telangana School Education Department has sanctioned ₹36.40 lakh for Teacher’s Day celebrations scheduled on September 5, 2025, across the state.

Telangana sanctions ₹36 lakh for statewide events

State Project Director Dr. E. Naveen Nicolas, IAS, issued the order to allocate the funds. District Educational Officers (DEOs) and Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs) will receive the amount to organise local-level programmes. The event celebrates the birth anniversary of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

The state will grant ₹5,000 to each of the 629 mandals, totalling ₹31.45 lakh. Additionally, each of the 33 districts will receive ₹15,000, amounting to ₹4.95 lakh. This brings the total allocation to ₹36.40 lakh.

Reports and release of funds

The department directed the State Finance Controller to credit the funds to the respective accounts of DEOs and MEOs without delay. MEOs must send detailed reports of the celebrations to their DEOs. The DEOs will then compile these into a consolidated report for submission to the Director of School Education.

The department will use the “SPO Management Cost of Samagra Shiksha” under the 2025–26 Annual Work Plan & Budget (AWP&B) to cover the expenditure.
