Hyderabad: The Telangana government has sanctioned pension for dialysis patients, extending ₹2,016 per month to 4,021 new beneficiaries.
Under the previous BRS government, 4,011 patients received support through the Aasara pension scheme. The Congress-led administration has now included an additional 4,021 patients.
Officials said the inclusion was driven by the efforts of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Seethakka.
Dialysis patients are typically unable to work and require monthly hospital treatment. On this basis, the government has sanctioned pension for dialysis patients through the scheme.
