HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has announced that summer holidays for school students across the state will begin on 24 April and continue until 11 June. The new academic year 2025–26 is scheduled to commence on 12 June.
As per the School Education Department, Summative Assessment-II examinations for Classes 1 to 7 will conclude on Thursday. For students in Classes 8 and 9, the Social Studies paper will be held on 17 April, officially marking the end of the current academic session.
All schools have been instructed to declare results and issue progress reports by 23 April. Parent-teacher meetings must also be held on the same day to discuss student performance.
Following the completion of these formalities, schools will remain closed for summer vacation from 24 April and will reopen on 12 June for the next academic year.
