Telangana aims to become skill capital of the world: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu on Saturday outlined the state’s mission to transform Telangana into the skill capital of the world. He shared this vision while inaugurating an Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) at the Mallepally ITI campus in Hyderabad.

The Minister stated that the government is actively working to bridge the gap between academics and industry. According to him, the administration is revising academic courses to include emerging technologies and market-driven skill sets.

Telangana skill capital world strategy hinges on skilled youth

“Our youth are Telangana’s biggest strength,” Sridhar Babu said. “We are preparing them with current and future-ready skills that match real industry demands.”

Moreover, he stressed that the government’s responsibility doesn’t end with training. It must also ensure that trained youth find meaningful employment. This, he said, aligns with the broader ‘Rising Telangana 2047’ vision.

Congress-led government prioritises job creation and reforms

Sridhar Babu also criticized the previous administration for ignoring youth aspirations. However, he assured that the Congress government is correcting those mistakes with deliberate and consistent efforts.

For instance, he noted that the Telangana Public Service Commission has already been restructured. Since then, over 60,000 government jobs have been filled under the Congress regime.
