Hyderabad: Telangana is set to celebrate its State Formation Day on June 2 with a grand event at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, as per directives issued by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao during a preparatory meeting held at the Secretariat on Thursday.
The Chief Secretary reviewed arrangements and emphasised coordinated efforts across departments to ensure the success of the celebration. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will begin the day by paying tribute to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park, before proceeding to the main event venue.
To streamline preparations, each department has been instructed to designate a nodal officer for better coordination. The police department will oversee route planning, traffic regulation, and parking arrangements for dignitaries and attendees to avoid congestion near the venue.

Additionally, the Culture department has been tasked with organising cultural performances to infuse the event with festive energy. To ensure uninterrupted power supply, the Power department has been asked to make necessary provisions including backup generators.
The Information and Public Relations Department will handle live broadcasting to ensure wide public outreach and visibility of the celebrations.
Senior officials including DGP Jitender, Special Chief Secretaries Vikas Raj and Ravi Gupta, Principal Secretary Naveen Mittal, GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, and Police Commissioner C.V. Anand were among those present at the meeting.
