Chandrababu Naidu told the Telangana unit to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) if that party sought TDP’s backing. If the BJP did not ask, he directed them to stay away from the contest entirely. He urged the leaders to maintain a positive stance toward the BJP, noting that TDP remains its ally at the national level.
The meeting also reviewed plans for the coming local body elections across Telangana. The Jubilee Hills bypoll will take place on November 11.
