Telangana temperature drop intensifies cold conditions across state

Hyderabad: Telangana temperature drop has led to a sharp fall in night readings across the state. The cold intensity increased unexpectedly during the past few days, and several residents struggled to manage the sudden chill.

Telangana temperature drop recorded across rural and agency regions

Weather officials reported a significant decline in minimum temperatures. They stated that this year’s night readings were almost half of last year’s figures. Cold winds began around 6 p.m., and the lowest temperatures were logged between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Rural belts and agency pockets felt the strongest impact. Many residents lit fires to ease the discomfort. Moreover, the cold persisted into the early hours, which caused difficulty for senior citizens and children who avoided stepping outdoors.

The Hyderabad weather centre said temperatures in some locations may remain 3°C to 4°C below normal during the next three days. Officials added that the drop observed over the past week was substantial, with several stations reporting readings between 20°C and 10°C. A few locations even recorded 15°C and, in isolated pockets, around 10°C.
