Hyderabad: Telangana Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Wednesday reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to expanding industrial activity and job creation, declaring that attracting new industries and generating employment for local youth is the government’s core mission.
Speaking at a meeting with representatives from major industry bodies including CII, FICCI, FTCCI, ALIP, TIF, TOPMA, and TS TMA at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat, Sridhar Babu said the government would support industrialists in all possible forms and make them active partners in the state’s development.
“The MSME sector, the backbone of our economy, will receive full backing. We won’t burden industries with regulatory pressure we’re here to safeguard and support them,” he said.
Contrasting the Revanth Reddy-led administration with previous governments, the minister stressed that the current regime operates inclusively, seeking feedback from all quarters. He dismissed claims that industries were leaving Telangana, calling them political falsehoods by the BRS and BJP.
Sridhar Babu said Telangana had attracted over ₹3 lakh crore in investments and generated more than 1 lakh private sector jobs in just 18 months. He solicited suggestions from industrialists and directed officials to resolve any pending industry-related issues swiftly.
Officials including B. Janak Prasad, Sanjay Kumar, Dana Kishore, and Nikhil Chakravarthy attended the meeting, alongside industry representatives such as Sameeuddin, Rajeev Venkataramana, Shekhar Reddy, Ramadevi, Sudheer Reddy, and others.
