Hyderabad: Telangana will soon host a Tourism Conclave aimed at attracting investments, boosting employment, and improving infrastructure in the state’s tourism sector. Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao made the announcement on Friday, while inaugurating the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) 2025 at HICC in Hyderabad.
The Minister said the conclave would act as a platform for strategic partnerships, investor dialogues, and policy discussions. A special action plan has already been prepared under the direction of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to develop key tourist destinations across the state.
New tourism policy to support youth and innovation
Rao noted that the government’s new tourism policy creates opportunities for young entrepreneurs and encourages innovative tourism projects. “Telangana has the potential for world-class tourism, but we need better promotion. The government is ready to fully support investors who bring creative ideas to the table,” he said.
He called on stakeholders and industry leaders to become brand ambassadors for Telangana tourism. According to Rao, the policy aims to foster a business-friendly environment while preserving the cultural and ecological richness of the state.
Bathukamma celebrations to begin on Sept 21
The Minister also announced that the state will celebrate Bathukamma on a grand scale this year. The festivities will run from September 21 to 30, with the inaugural event set to take place at the historic Thousand Pillar Temple in Hanamkonda.
