Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and gusty winds across several districts as part of the Telangana weather forecast for the next two days.
According to the alert, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning and winds of 30–40 kmph is likely in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal.
The Telangana weather advisory also predicts widespread showers on Monday, with scattered activity expected throughout the state. IMD has cautioned residents in affected regions to stay alert during periods of heavy rain and gusty winds.
Over the past 24 hours, moderate rainfall was recorded in Vikarabad, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Suryapet, and Khammam districts, as per data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society.
