Hyderabad: A serious crash was narrowly avoided near Suddapalli in Nizamabad district early Thursday when a travels bus slammed into a stationary lorry on National Highway 44. Ten passengers suffered injuries.
Police said the bus driver lost control and hit the parked lorry. The vehicle then climbed onto the divider before stopping. There were 22 passengers in the bus at the time.
The incident took place in Dichpalli mandal. Responding quickly, police arrived at the spot and launched rescue efforts. They shifted the injured to the Nizamabad Government Hospital.
Investigators have registered a case. Initial findings indicate that the lorry was parked without proper warning signs.
